Refinancing
There are ads everywhere for refinancing - rates look good - all sounds good - one problem - no job! Duh!
Burglaries
Wish I had known they were looking for a Dodge Magnum - saw it last Friday along with a black Dodge Charge and two black SUVs - looked like Tahoes - at the traffic light at Sixth St and Taylor St at about 9:45 am. I even made a comment to hubby that those looked like bad guys driving all black vehicles.

Glamour Gone From Hollywood
They have made it to the big time attending the Emmy's holding their breathe that their name will be called and they can give their thank yous and attribution to the world. Take a look at the photos - the glamour is gone. I found maybe a handful of stars donning gowns designed by the best that revealed style, grace and poise. The majority looked like they had just climbed out of bed, rubbed their hands through their hair and donned the first thing that was available.
Very few wore jewelry and those that did seemed to want to overdo. Yes, I am old school. Yes, I loved to play dress up and encourage my granddaughters to do the same. It is a means of discovering style and taste. Ladies, this was not a tea party or luncheon - it was the Emmy's for goodness sake and you let us all down. We, the people, expect a star quality exhibition when you attend these well covered events. Give us something back - we spend our time adoring you and we want a show!
Of course there had to be two or three that went over the top and wore something really outlandish, but the single biggest problem was ill fitted gowns. Style, color and design followed closely. Some were beautiful gowns not meant for the people wearing them. Some were beautiful people wearing the wrong gown. Where or where have the mirrors gone.
Poise - look at the photos - there wasn't any. Most of the attendees are straining so hard at something that the muscles and cartlidge in their necks are strained to bursting. The poses are outlandish and do not flatter at all. Poise and grace are out the window.
In my opinion, Sigorny Weaver was the best dressed, most poised and most confident of the attendees pictured. Thank you for taking the time to please us.

US Constitution
Article 2 Section 1
. . . No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
In Case of the Removal of the President from Office, or of his Death, Resignation, or Inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office, the same shall devolve on the vice President, and the Congress may by Law provide for the Case of Removal, Death, Resignation or Inability, both of the President and vice President, declaring what Officer shall then act as President, and such Officer shall act accordingly, until the Disability be removed, or a President shall be elected.
The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be increased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them.
Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Section 2
The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.
He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.
The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the end of their next Session."
I have read there are lawsuits filed questioning the citizenship of our President. I do not know, but will research, what body certifies the eligibility of candidates to run for the Office of President and Vice-President. One would think this matter would have been researched diligently prior to the election process and I cannot fathom President Obama's eligibility being questioned at this late date with any validity. http://www.FightTheSmears.com for more information.
Let's remember that the majority of the people have elected this man to serve in a most powerful position in leading this country and keep him and our country in our prayers daily.

Constitution Day - September 17
Today is Constitution Day. The delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution on this date in 1787.
Preamble
"We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, to promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

The founding fathers were masters at composition. They wrote the Constitution in such a concise manner that it can be printed on three pages, is readable, and sets the guidelines for the mission, goals, and operations of this great country. Our educated leaders are fooling no one but themselves. The original document still stands tall and proud.
