According to AP through Yahoo News and the Nasa website (http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LCROSS/main/index.html), Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite is part of a $100 billion project to return man to the moon. In short, tomorrow NASA will send the used up space craft attached to a 2.2 ton rocket (sent up in June to start its journey) into a crater of the moon to photograph the results and to determine if there is water on the moon. All of this is scheduled to occur around 7:31 EDT tomorrow morning.
Does this make sense to you? Why is it important if there is water on the moon? Are future generations planning on living there?
I know - it is the new frontier! NASA is the Lewis and Clark of the New Age and old folks like me don't understand. Well, I have a problem when people go messing with the moon. It isn't ours to mess with! Leave it alone!
Of course that may be the answer for living space for the sex offenders of the United States - send them to the moon!
